Breasts are truly the symbol of beauty, pride, and femininity of a woman.
It is perfectly normal to worry about your breasts as they make you confident and improves your personality. But before we go further, there are few things which you need to know.
First, breast sagging is a normal process which happens to every woman eventually and second, we need to know whether it’s truly breast sagging or just a misconception.
There are several reasons of breast sagging such as pregnancy, smoking, excessive exercise, etc.
While we can’t avoid the natural process of breast sagging, what we can do is adopting different ways and techniques so that we can avoid premature breast sagging or slow down the process.

What Exactly Is Breast Sagging?
Breast sagging is a natural cause which mainly happens due to gravity. Breasts do not have muscles in them, so when gravity pulls them down, the ligaments present in them get stretched and thus the dropping of the breasts occur.
The sagging happens more in the case of larger breasts as compared to small breasts as the gravity pulls them down more.
If you think that you have breast sagging just by comparing with those of supermodels, you might be wrong.
Breast sagging is not a disease, it’s nothing more than a couple of stretch marks or something which makes your breasts look odd in a way which isn’t quite noticeable to the outside world or the way we perceive the world is feeling about it.
Be rest assured, it’s completely normal.
What Has Causes Breast Sagging?
1. Pregnancy
It is the most common cause of breast sagging. Remember, breast sagging happens because of the changes which happen during pregnancy and not because of breastfeeding. So, don’t stop breastfeeding your child for apparently no reason.
Another reason of breast sagging is the breast involution process. During breast involution, the milk, making system inside the breasts shrinks as it is not needed anymore.
This happens when a woman doesn’t breastfeed at all or during Menopause and the breasts start to look hollow and empty.
2. Losing Weight
When you start to lose weight, the fat which is present in your breasts disappears. The tissue and ligament and tissues present in your breasts don’t contract accordingly, thus giving an empty feeling to them and they look “sagged”.
3. Gaining Weight
Not only losing weight but also gaining weight can cause breast sagging. Because of the excessive weight of the breasts, they get pulled down by gravity and cannot remain intact and may eventually look sagged.
4. Excessive Exercise Or Sports
When you do a lot of exercises or go for outdoor sports, your breasts bounce quite a lot. In the due course of time, the tissue in the breasts gets stretched, and breast sagging occurs.
5. Smoking
Excessive consumption of nicotine or even alcohol can cause the weakening of the skin because of the different dangerous ingredients which are present in them and cause premature breast sagging.
6. Diseases
Some of the serious diseases such as Tuberculosis or Breast cancer can also cause a weakening of the cells. As a result, the cells and the tissues are not able to hold the breasts intact, and the breasts sag and fall.
7. Aging
This is one of the most common and natural causes of breast sagging which happens to almost all women. Women in their thirties start showing signs of aging and during that time some woman starts to report about breast sagging.
Breast sagging can happen to teen girls also. In short, it can happen at any age and at any time and can happen to any to any normal woman.
8. Lack Of Moisture
Breast sagging can also happen because of lack of moisture, as a result, the breast skin appears saggy and dry. This mainly happens because of the lack of water content in the body.
What Can You Do To Avoid Breast Sagging?
1. Wear A Bra That Properly Fits You
As you already know, one of the main reasons of breast sagging is the gravity. So what your breasts need is a proper and firm support so that you can decrease the chance of breast sagging.
Always wear a properly-fitted bra for your breasts. The bra, which your breasts-neither don’t bounce a lot more bumps out is a proper-size bra for you. If your bra hooks is loose, tighten or replace them. If you don’t know your size, just consult your physician.
Don’t wear a bra 24 hours a day, and in fact, not more than 12 hours a day. As it can fasten the process of breast sagging rather than lowering them.
Wear a supportive sports bra while you go for exercise or for outdoor sports such as rugby or football as it will stop the breasts from bouncing a lot and getting stretched.
If you have bigger breasts, then buy bras,which has wider straps in the back as the bras having wider straps support the bigger breasts quite firmly.
Nowadays, there are many quality brands which offer a wide variety of bras which firmly supports your breasts.
Wear your bra correctly and spend some time while dressing up so that the bra firmly supports your breasts. While putting them on, just bend a little towards the front so that the bra can lie centered and perky.
Avoid going bra less as the gravity will inevitably sag your breasts. Always put on bras before going out.
2. Self-Massage Your Breasts
Self massage your breasts 3-5 times a week as it can give you wonderful results.
One is, it can release all the stagnated fluids which are present in your breasts and the other one is it can make your breasts firmer and also can lift them up.
Use oil, which is only meant breast massage so that get lasting and awesome results. You can also use olive oil for breast massage.
You can also ice massage for increasing its tone and firmness. Take two ice cubes and massage each one of it on each of your breasts, but not more than that as the breast skin is very sensitive.
Do this regularly.
You can also use moisturizer for massaging your breasts. Massage them on your breasts gently everyday for 10 minutes. This will help to increase the blood circulation and elasticity of your breasts.
3. Healthy Diet & Steady Weight
Healthy diet is necessary for keeping your breasts in good shape. A healthy diet builds new cells and new breast tissues.
Vitamins such as Vitamins E and D are very much required by your body. Take plenty amount of leafy vegetables, carrots, fishes, nuts, tomatoes and whole grains, etc. Vitamin C is also important for the Collagen synthesis of your skin so take those items which are rich in vitamin C.
Avoid weight fluctuations in your body as it results in stretching and sagging of your breast skin. Both under and overweight can cause breast sagging. So, maintain a steady weight of your body.
The fluctuations in your breasts can result in tension in your breasts, and they may lose their elasticity. So, always maintain a steady weight.
Take lots of water, as sagging may occur when the skin is dehydrated. The water intake can increase the moisture content of your body and also the tone of your breasts.
Antioxidants are one of the prime ingredients which are necessary for healthy skin. Thus, take dark vegetables and colorful fruits which are rich in antioxidants.
4. Postures And Exercises
Always maintain a good posture i.e study carefully how you are standing and walking. Look yourself in the mirror. If you think that you have a bad posture, then try to stand straight and erect.
Now you yourself examine how higher the breasts are present now. Maintaining a good posture and walking style can help to keep your breasts in great shape.
Exercise so that your Pectoral muscles can be built which helps your breasts to look firmer. Exercises which are for the Pectoral muscles include push-ups and also chest presses with the help of a pair of dumbbells and also the chest fly’s.

Home Remedies For Breast Sagging
1. Yoga
Yoga postures are one most of the most ancient exercises which our ancestors have given to us.
Some of the yoga postures which help in firmness and lifting of the breasts are Sarvangasana (the Shoulder stand), Sirshasana(the Head Stand) and Viparitakarani (the Inverted pose).
You can learn how to do these yoga postures from a dedicated yoga teacher or from the different websites which nicely describe about the yoga postures.
2. Exercises
These are some of the breast firming exercises which you can do right from your home.
These exercises can tremendously improve the firmness of your breasts and also bring them back into position.

Pectoral Push Ups
Do this like any other conventional push ups. The only difference is that keep your elbow and forearms on the ground. Repeat this for at least 5 times a day.

Butterfly Press
Sit on the edge of your chair and keep both hands on both sides and take four to five pounds of weight. Slowly raise your hand till the level of the shoulder. Count till four and then take it back to the previous position.

Pec-Press
Lie on your back with your knees bent and do it with the help three to four-pound weight. First stretch your hands on both sides, bring them together for 1 minute and take them back to their old position. Repeat this for 10 to 15 times a day.

Wall Ups
This exercise is done by standing, at least, two feet away from the wall. Face towards the wall and keep your palm parallel to the wall at the shoulder level.
Now move your body slowly towards the wall with the help of shoulder muscles till your nose touches the wall. Return to the original position. Repeat this for at least 10-15 times a day.

Inverted Push Ups
Keep your legs at least two-three feet away from the wall and keep the palms on the wall. Now slowly take your chest near the wall by bending your elbows. Come back again to your original position. Repeat this for 10-15 times a day.
3. Breast Mask
Wearing breast mask once a week will help to develop firmness in the breasts. Follow the following procedure to prepare the breast mask:
- Grind a cucumber thoroughly and then add an egg yolk to it.
- Add some butter or cream to the mixture.
- Blend all the ingredients properly and make a paste.
- Apply the paste to your breasts and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Then wash it properly with water.
4. Vegetable And Essential Oil
Olive oil, vegetable oil such as almond oil or grape seed oil, essential oils such as carrot oil, cypress oil, fennel oil, lemongrass oil and spearmint oil, etc., can be used to massage your breasts.
They all work wonderfully for building up of tone and increasing the firmness of your breasts. While using essential oil keep one thing in mind. Never use more than 2 drops on your breasts as they are quite strong and can cause a burning sensation.
5. Hot And Cold Bath
Bath your breasts alternately with hot and cold water so that rapid blood circulation can happen in your breasts which are again good for bringing firmness and making it healthy.
6. Pomegranate Oil
- Take the outer layer of it and wash it properly with water. Mix it with pure water to make a thick paste and then keep it in a clean bowl.
- Take white mustard oil in half the proportion of pomegranate oil. Mix both of them well and warm it under the flame till only the oil remains.
- Apply this oil to your breasts every night.
7. Fenugreek Paste
Mix some amount of Fenugreek (Methi) properly in water to make a paste. Apply it to your breasts for 10-15 minutes and then properly wash with clean water. Fenugreek oil can also be used.
8. Raw Ginger
Mix one teaspoonful of ginger juice with cow’s milk and drink it every day. This will again improve the blood circulation of your breasts and make it firm.
9. Banyan Tree Root
Take some fresh aerial roots of the banyan tree. Clean them properly and make a paste of it with clean water. Apply this paste on your breasts every night.
In that area, keep some cotton and wear a tight and supportive bra. Try this for 3-4 weeks. This will surely make your breasts tight.
