Asthma And Ayurveda:
Asthma is called ‘Shwas Roga’ in Indian Ayurveda and is caused when the vitiated ‘Pranvayu’ combines with deranged Kapha Dosha(Water humor) in the lungs leads obstruction in the ‘Pranvaha Srotsa’ (Respiratory Track).
According to Ayurvedic Texts, there are five types of asthma(Swas Roga) which are given below:
Deep Breath associated with long sound. It is similar to Biots Respiration
Prolonged expiration and inability to have inspiration. It is like Stertorous Breathing.
Interruption or stoppage of breath. It is similar to Chyne Stroke Respiration.
Continuously wheezing, breathlessness and got relief on stimulus is removed. It is also called Bronchial Asthma.
Breathing difficulty on Exertion. It is like Dyspnea on the effort.
Out of these five types, first three are incurable and last two that is ‘Tamak shwas’ and ‘Kshudra Shwas’ are curable.
Tamak Shwas(Bronchial Asthma) can be from any of three humors:Vata(Air), Pitta(Fire), or Kapha(Water). Mostly, it is of Kapha humor, and all three are cured naturally through Ayurveda.
How Is Asthma Cured By Ayurveda Naturally?
