For all the people who didn’t start practising yoga because they are not flexible, here comes the good news! Flexibility is not a necessary factor for practising yoga. Yoga is not just about standing on your head or touching your feet with hands. It is more than just asana.

The truth is many people are more flexible than others naturally. Some people are gymnasts or they are into sports and dance, which makes them flexible.

If you are staying away from yoga only because you are not flexible, then you are doing the wrong thing! If you aren’t flexible, that means you have tightness in your muscles, and yoga is about loosening these muscles! Tight muscles restrict your movement as you age and so yoga is very essential.

Yoga is not about showing how flexible you are, but it is all about getting flexible with time and have its other benefits as well! Yoga has other health benefits like improved immunity and relaxation of mind and soul.

Yoga is for individual’s practice. It need not be compared with the person next to you. It is about your own body and how it can get better with practice.

Yoga is about maintaining stability and flexibility. The one with great flexibility needs to develop strength and one with strength needs to be flexible. This is possible by practising yoga regularly!

Now that it is clear that yoga doesn’t need flexibility, go for it! Enjoy other benefits of yoga with flexibility!

Remember, that everyone is different and so do not hesitate to go for yoga if you aren’t flexible! The instructors are available to help you and make you feel better!
