Ingredients

  • Tulsi leaves: 1/4 cup
  • Tender barks : 3 Tsp
  • Clove: 1
  • Pepper (optional) – 1
  • Cumin seeds(jeera): 1/4 tbsp
  • Water – 4 cups
  • Honey: 2 Tsp
  • Lemon (optional) – 1/2 Tsp

Procedure

  • Warm clove, jeera, and pepper on a hot pan. Powder these with the help of mortar and pestle.
  • Finely chop tulsi leaves and mix them in the above mixture till the mixture becomes coarse.
  • Boil four cups of water and add this mixture to it. Allow it to boil till it reduces to one cup.
  • Allow the decoction to cool and add honey and lemon juice to it when it is warm to add flavor to it.
  • In summers, you may also add ice and mint to it.
