Bacterial vaginosis has a similar factor like that of a yeast infection.  It peeps into your genitals when your vagina is actually confused with the good and the bad bacteria.

This can lead to the foul smell, discharge, and itching around your vaginal flesh walls. The discharge might be dull grey, foaming or white.

4. Vulvar Cancer

1. Garlic

Garlic is a natural anti-inflammatory. Garlic can help kill bacteria and yeast because it has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. It boosts up your immune system.

You have to just mix a few drops of garlic oil with any general vitamin oil. Massage your vagina gently  and then let your skin absorb the essentials for leaving it about 10 minutes.

Later wipe off the excess oils with a warm towel. Try it twice a day.

You can directly apply the honey to the affected area as an ointment. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash it off with warm water. Do take honey orally with warm water before breakfast.

Dip a tampon in yogurt and insert it in your vagina for 1-2 hours.

You can also apply yogurt locally on the vagina for about 5-6 hours. Then, rinse it with water.

Eat a bowl of yogurt every day.

10. Basil Leaves:

Basil leaves have anti-bacterial properties.

Take basil leaves and boil it in 2 cups of water.

Let it cool for about 20 minutes.

Strain it  and drink the water twice a day.

You can also have fresh basil leaves directly.

You can apply anti-bacterial talc as well.

They are available in herbal and medicated form.

Antibacterial talc are beneficial for itching. It also makes your skin smooth and soft.

12. Rosemary Leaves:

Rosemary leaves can provide instant relief.

Just take some rosemary leaves, boil them in 2-3 cups of water for 15-20 minutes.

Allow it to cool. Wash your vaginal area with this water.

This remedy could give you immediate effect.

13. Turmeric and Milk:

Turmeric has anti-bacterial properties and can help in getting rid of itching vagina.

This is the simplest home remedy.

Take one glass of warm milk and add 1 tsp of turmeric in it.

Drink it twice daily to cure the problem.

14. Oregano oil:

Oregano oil has antifungal properties. It boosts your immune system. So, it can also be used to cure vaginal itching.

It is basically used when itching is caused by yeast infection.

Just take 500 mg oil internally twice a day. You can also prefer oregano oil capsule available in the market.

The oil can be topically applied on the vagina.

15. Tea Tree oil:

Tea tree oil helps in treating yeast infection due to its antifungal properties.

You can have a tea tree oil bath soak, just mix few drops of oil to your bath water and sit in this water for some time.

Tea tree oil can be diluted with olive oil. You can massage your affected area with this.

Dip a tampon in tea tree oil and insert it in your vagina for 1-2 hours. This will give you good result.

Pregnant women are advised not to use this oil, as it may harm the baby.

16. Coconut Oil:

Dry skin could be a reason of itching and coconut oil helps in treating with dry skin.

Apply coconut oil to your itchy vagina several times a day. You can also add 3-4 tbsp. of coconut oil in 4-5 cups of water, and wash your vagina with this water.

17. Calendula:

Calendula is a herb with anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties.

Crush calendula leaves and apply on the area.

You can also try calendula extract tea. It is beneficial for vaginal infections.

Please note this tea should be avoided while pregnancy.

18. Olive Leaf extract

Olive leaf extract has anti-bacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. It restores the good bacteria of the body.

You can apply the olive oil extract on the affected area.

Additional Tips:

Stop wearing tight clothes, if you are suffering from this problem. When you have an urge to itch, just stop yourself right there. It sounds hard, but by doing it, you can save yourself from rashes and redness down there.

You should expose your vagina to the air. You should wear loose fitted clothes and you could try sleeping without underwear at night.

If you face itching while having intercourse, then you should avoid having sex and wait for a few days, until itching calms down.

Itching can be caused by dryness under, so you should keep yourself hydrated. Drink a lot of water, 6-8 glasses per day.

Maintain good hygiene, always wash your vagina with good products and keep your vagina dry.

Don’t use toilet paper if you have this problem. Avoid sugar when suffering from chronic vaginal itching caused by yeast infection.

After exercise or swimming take a shower immediately.
