In this article, I would talk about a few methods which will help you lose up to 2 pounds in a day!! However, I’ll first talk about a few things that will help you understand weight loss even better.

As I mentioned in the beginning, the reasons for losing weight are numerous.

1. Health Point Of View

When you are overweight, you are at the risk of developing potentially life-threatening illnesses. Obesity or weight gain continues to be a risk factor for blood pressure, strokes, diabetes, sleeping disorders and more.

Thus,  doctors often ask the patients to shed some weight in order to be fit, as sometimes when the weight goes down the diseases start vanishing too.

People who stay fit and healthy live longer! It adds years to your life and also all those extra years will be the happy ones. People who stay fit have a life filled with more enthusiasm and excitement.

Staying healthy makes one look better. Also, it will make you feel streets ahead about yourself on the inside.

In an analysis of a research on the same topic it has been found out that people who stay fit report a higher self-esteem. It boosts the confidence in a person and makes the person feel better about him.

Now let’s come to the main point of this article i.e. How To Drop Those Extra Pounds!

Imagine that you have your school prom in a few days and you need to shed of those extra pounds to fit in your mom’s classic pink gown! Joining a gym, or going on a basic diet won’t help. You need to look for a quick way out.

Thus, here are a few ways by which you can drop up to 2 POUNDS A DAY!

Let’s first understand what calories are and how many calories do you need to burn to lose 2 pounds a day!

Calories refer to the energy stored in the food. Consuming more calories than you burn leads to weight gain whereas burning more calories than you eat leads to weight loss.

According to the center of disease control, there is somewhere around 3500 calories in One pound thus,  to lose 2 pounds a day you have to reduce your caloric intake by 7000 calories.

You need to cut out on carbs in order to shed the water weight and allow your body to receive all the carbs from vegetables and fruits.

Diets To Follow To Lose 2 Pounds In A Day

DIET 1

Start your day by making a simple lemon drink. For it you will need-

  • 8 cups of water
  • Lemon juice (6 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • Mint leaves
  1. Add the ingredients in lukewarm water ( Do not let the water boil)
  2. Leave the mixture for a few hours in the fridge
  3. Strain it and have it along with the all the meals that I am going to mention below.
Meal 1

Have the above made mixture before breakfast early morning.

Meal 2 (Breakfast)

Breakfast strictly needs to comprise of fruits. (Apples, Pears, Oranges, etc.)

Meal 3

A few hours after the breakfast, Drink one more glass of the mixture and combine with some unroasted almonds.

Meal 4 (Lunch)

Lettuce salad with olive oil and apple cedar vinegar which helps in burning the weight really quick. You can also have a boiled egg along with it. After an hour or two, Drink one more glass of the mixture and accompany it with any one fruit of your choice.

Meal 5 (Dinner)

Dinner should be before 7. It can comprise of either grilled chicken/fish along with some salad.

Finally, have one more glass of the drink 2 hours before going to bed.

Here’s an alternate diet! You have to start this diet to by making a simple drink.For making the drink you need-

  • Medium sized Cucumber
  • fist full of mint leaves
  • apple
  • lemon (1/2)
  • a small piece of ginger
Method
  1. Add all the ingredients in the grinder along with half cup of water and grind.
  2. Strain and add some lemon juice. You can also add 1/2tsp of black salt for taste.
Breakfast

Take the above mentioned drink along with 12/13 almonds which have about 85-90 calories OR 5-6 Dates which have about 100-110 calories. Dates improve digestion, give energy, increase metabolism which in turn help you lose weight fast.

*Take the same diet in the evening as well*

Lunch
Option 1

 Grab a bowl of oats in skimmed milk. You can also add almonds and fruits in it. For taste, youcan also add 1/2 tbsp. of honey. Oats help in boosting energy and keep you filled throughout the day. They are rich in fiber, minerals and remove cholesterol from your body.

OR

Option 2

You can make a 3-slice-brown bread sandwich.  You can use tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, spinach, capsicum, onions etc. for filling. These vegetables are less in calories and keep hunger at bay. You can eat it either raw or can also grill it.

Option 3

Boiled vegetable curry and 2 chapatti

For the curry, you can use vegetables such as- Spinach, tomato, beans, cauliflower, broccoli or any other vegetables that are less in calories. Boil the vegetables and cook with less spices and oil.  Along with the curry you can have 2 chapattis and also a bowl of fresh vegetable salad.

Evening

Take the same diet as prescribed for the breakfast-  The energy boosting drink along with almonds or dates.

Dinner

The diet for dinner is same as lunch;you just have to reduce the portion size.

For e.g.

  1. Instead of making 3-bread grilled sandwich, use 2 slices of bread.
  2. Instead of two chapattis, have 1 chapatti along with curry.

(In case of oats, you can have the same amount of oats)

After following any one of the above mentioned diets check your wait the next morning and you will definitely find a drop of 2 pounds

Some More Dietary Changes You Should Make To Loose Weight Quick

(a) For starters, fill your diet up with fiber. Fiber does not have any magical weight-loss element, but it  fills you up fast, without adding up excess calories in your food.

According to a study in Annals of internal medicine, people who were asked to eat 30 grams of fiber daily, and were given no other dietary changes, lost a significant amount of weight. Some fiber rich foods that you should include in your diet-

  • ALMONDS (3.5 grams fiber per ounce- about 28nuts)
  • BLACKBERRIES (7.6 grams fiber per cup)
  • RAW AVACADOS (9.8 grams fiber per cup)
  • UNPROCESSED WHEAT BRAN- (28 grams fiber per cup)
  • GREAN BEANS (4 grams fiber per cup)
  • SWEET POTATOES (5 grams fiber- 2 baked), etc.

(b) If you are serious about weight loss, sugar is definitely not your friend. Sugar from all sources can hinder the process of your weight loss. Sugar is not an essential nutrient in your diet. Cutting sugar in your diet can help you reduce weight on a rapid pace.

Thus, to lose weight quickly, you have to cut down on ice-creams, honey, fruits and so on!

(c) Many people think that consumption of FATS makes them FAT. They are unaware that consuming fats in a diet is as important as consuming any other nutrient. Fats are essential for maintaining mental health.

Without enough fat in the diet, the brain won’t be able to build healthy nerve fibers and might have severe consequences on health.  You should avoid consuming unhealthy fats such as-

In order to reduce weight, you must not only reduce your daily calorie intake but also exercise to burn the excess calories. Exercise does not only help you reduce weight but also helps you stay healthy in the long run.

Exercise may include cycling, running, kickboxing, aerobics, jumping rope, etc. Performing some sort of physical activity engenders sweat which in turn will help you shedding some water weight.

Exercise also helps you to build muscles which gives a highly geared metabolism and lets you burn calories even more rapidly.

To lose two pounds a day, you’ll have to cut down 7000 calories, thus if you exercise along with the diet , you will have to cut down less calories in your diet as the exercise will help you shed some calories. Here are a few things that you should follow-

  • do at least 40 minutes (or 1 hour if possible) jogging + walking (walk when you’re unable to jog, regain strength and jog again)

(A) Do Kapal Bharti and Pranayam, on an empty stomach for 10-15 minutes.

Also, to lose a few pounds quickly you can avoid consuming any liquids for a day. You might see a drop in your pounds but it is not advisable for the health.
