Sweat is a necessary evil. Necessary because it is one of the most important excretory systems of our body, and evil because it makes our clothes look bad. And not only clothes but sometimes our sandals too!
Many people have a tendency to sweat a lot in the palm of their hands and the soles of their feet. It can be seasonal but sometimes it is because they are suffering from primary or axillary hyperhidrosis.
Hyperhidrosis is a condition when you sweat profusely even when you are not doing any kind of physical activity. This condition can affect many people, especially women.
Amidst all this sweat chaos the things that get ruined are our flats. Many people do not prefer to wear socks with their flats because it is not a good fashion statement.
Hence, the sweaty feet drags off the colour of the sandals making them look dull and weird. Is it very hectic to find sandals after every 2-3 months right? That is why I want to enlist some solutions to your problem.

How To Make Your Feet Stop Sweating?
There are many ways by which you can prevent your feet from sweating too much when you are wearing the sandals. They are-
1. Maintain Hygiene
Wash your feet frequently. This will help in washing off the sweat. It is recommended to wash with some antibacterial soap so that bacteria don’t make it their living ground. This might create an unusual odour problem.
2. Feet Soaking
Soaking your feet in a solution which absorbs the sweat and blocks the glands for a while can be of great help. Let us see some of them-
a) Tea Bags
Soak 6 tea bags in a big bowl of warm water for 10 minutes. Let the water cool down. Soak your feet in the tea water bowl for 20 minutes. Pat, it dry with a soft towel.
b) Vinegar
Warm a big bowl of water as such to accommodate both your feet easily. Add a cup of vinegar in it and allow it to cool. Soak your feet in the bowl for about 20 minutes then dry your feet with a towel.
c) Baking Soda
You can add a big tablespoon of baking soda into a tub full of warm water and mix it thoroughly so that the soda completely dissolves in it. Then, put your feet in the solution and soak yourself for 20 minutes. Dry with a soft towel.
d) Epsom Salt
This is one of the best remedies to stop your flats from getting ruined. You can mix 2 spoons of Epsom salt in a bucket of water and soak your feet in it for about 15-20 minutes and pat your feet dry with a soft cloth.
3. Dusting
A random dusting for about 10-12 times a day especially between the toes will help reduce the sweating problem.
4. Cornstarch
Cornstarch absorbs water easily. Hence, if you sprinkle it on your toes and soles then it will help absorb the sweat and keep you dry.
5. Talcum Powder
Talcum powder or baby powder is used basically for keeping a person dry and absorbing the sweat. It also helps you maintain the feel of freshness. So why not use it on the soles? But remember to wear your sandals as soon as you apply the powder as it might fall off or you might slip!
6. Washing Your Sandals
If your sandals are not really degradable by water you can wash it often to get rid of stains of sweat and also any kind of bacteria colony present in it.
7. Buy Flats With Absorbents
Medical flats are also available in the market. They are made of pads having absorbent power and hence help you tackle the sweaty feet problem easily. You can buy and use one of these sandals.
You can also wear a sock if you think they look good with your flats. Socks can save the destruction of flats by your sweat.
8. Ginger Paste
Ginger helps reducing sweat and also acts as a natural deodorant.
Peel off the ginger from the sides and make a paste of it using a little water in a mixer. Apply the paste on the soles and in between the toes of your feet. Let it remain for 30 minutes. Then wash off with cold water to get dry and clean feet.
There are some home remedies that you follow to stop your hands from sweating.
All I have to say in the end is that tackle the reason of sweat and not the sweat so that you can have happy feet and a shining new sandal throughout the year!
You can also try herbal remedies to reduce the excessive sweating. These will give your body a cooling effect and prevents sweat glands from producing more sweat.
