In place of red meat, you can have egg, shrimp, tofu, imitation crab meat, chicken drumstick, and beef stew.
Also, it will be better if you go for fruits and vegetables to get proteins for your body. Because kidney filtration converts them into bases.
And in the case of red meat, kidney filtration converts them into uric acids. So fruits and vegetables would be a better option.
Moreover, if you have any kidney disease you should avoid consumption of red meat. Because red meat will promote your kidney disease and will make the condition worse.
So if you have any pre-existing kidney disease, it’s better to avoid intake of red meat.

The study suggests that the intake of a large amount of animal protein especially red meat worsens the state of pre-existing kidney disease.
About 26 million estimated people of U.S. suffers from chronic kidney disease. And this disease completely leads to kidney failure. And if kidney fails, patients have to go for a kidney transplant.
Or they have to undergo dialysis treatment, three times in a week to remain alive. More than 47000 people in America died due to kidney disease in 2013.
It is also found that the chances of kidney failure are three times more in the person who consumes animal protein than the person who consumes vegetables and fruits.
Adverse Effects Of Red Meat On Kidneys
Red meat is rich in proteins. It contains purines, which your kidney metabolises into uric acid. Red meat can lead to complete kidney failure.
Harvard Medical School suggests, intake of excess red meat increases the level of uric acid in the blood. And leads to the development of kidney stones.
Stony Brook Heart Institute suggests that the cholesterol level and saturated fats present in red meat increases the risk of renal artery disease.
It can also block the blood vessels leading to the kidneys and also leads to hardening of arteries.
In conclusion, I want to say that eating red meat is not harmful if consumed in regulated amount. Also, there are various other sources of protein like fruits and vegetables.
It adds more nutritional value to your diet and keeps your body fit and healthy. So it’s better to consider a better option for your health.
