Causes Of Warts
Warts appear on your body because of virus called HPV (human papilloma virus). HPV is the root cause for all the types ( 60 types) of warts that may occur all over the body. Warts can be life threatening also, as it may even lead you to suffer from cancer.

Types Of Warts
Generally, people suffer from three types of warts: Common warts, plantar warts, and flat warts.
1. Common Warts:
These warts occur on the broken skin area. You will find them as small, flesh colored and hard. They are accompanied by seed or black spot in the middle, thus they are also called seed warts. Seed appearing spot in the center of wart is actually blood supplied by vessels to warts, not seed. They are rough in texture.
2. Plantar Warts:
They occur in weight-bearing areas of the foot. You will find them as grey or brown colored and hard. In these warts also, you will find seed. They don’t protrude out of the body due to constant pressure on them while walking. It may cause pain. It may appear in clusters, then it is called as mosaic warts. You may feel difficult to walk because of them.
3. Flat Warts:
They can occur on face, neck or chest. You will find them as small, grey, brown or flesh-coloured. They occur in groups of 20 or more. They are smooth in texture and may occur in beard region for men while on shaved legs for women.
Warts Are Contagious?
You might wonder if warts are contagious. The answer is YES!!! As the main cause for developing warts is virus. The virus spread really fast. If you touch someone’s warts then you may also suffer from the same. It may also spread by using the common clothes, towels or bath mats.
It may also spread from one part of your body to another. Do not shave with a razor if warts appear on beard region. The virus may transfer to your razor. It may lead to the transfer of virus to other body parts.
Using Apple Cider Vinegar For Warts
- Apple cider vinegar (2 tablespoons)
- Water (1 tablespoon)
- Cotton balls
- Bandage or medical tape
How to do:
- Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with one tablespoon of water.
- With the help of cotton balls, apply it on the affected part of the skin.
- Apply bandage or tape on the area to cover it.
- Remove the coverage next day.
- Repeat these steps for few weeks.
After few weeks you will find that warts are being cured. It will eventually get away leaving behind the certain marks.

How to do:
- Mix well apple cider vinegar and lukewarm water in 1:1 ratio.
- Make sure you prepare the solution in a large container so that the affected area can be submerged in this solution.
- Leave it submerged for about 15-20 minutes.
- Now, wash the affected area with fresh running water.
This method can be used easily when warts occur on feet or hands, as these body parts are easy to submerge in water.
- Luke warm water (full of bucket)
- Apple cider vinegar ( about 8 tablespoons)
How to do:
- Mix about 8 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a bucket full of Luke warm water.
- Bath with this water.
This will not only help in curing warts but also prevent it spread across the body.
The main component of apple cider vinegar is Acetic Acid. Acetic acid is strong in nature. So if you find that warts are getting worse then stop on the first use only or reduce the amount of apple cider vinegar you are using (dilute the solution by adding more amount of water).
You can apply petroleum jelly on the healthy skin so that apple cider vinegar does not affect it.
Precautions To Avoid Warts:
i) Clean the cuts or any scratches on any body part as soon as possible so that no foreign elements can enter the breakage in the skin.
ii) Biting nails is a very common method for providing entrance to HPV virus. Biting nails creates an opening in the skin.
iii) Use clean towels especially at gym, common bathrooms or any public places.
iv) Use rubber-soled footwear in public shower or locker room for preventing yourself from warts.
v) Develop strong immune system by eating healthy food.
Tips While Using Apple Cider Vinegar For Treating Warts
i) Use good quality Apple cider vinegar.
ii) You may experience slight burning sensation on the affected area when you apply apple cider vinegar. But it’s effective method. Generally, OTC treatments leave behind the scars.
iii) Do not pull off warts, it may spread.
Stages Of Warts Removal
i) At first, warts may swell up after the application of apple cider vinegar.
ii) Then, Warts may look something black or dark in color.
iii) After that wart may dry off. Then it may tempt you to pull off. Don’t pull as it may again develop into a fully grown wart.
Removing Genitals Warts
Warts may develop in genital areas of the body due to sexual contact. It is not recommended to remove genital warts by using any of the above-mentioned methods. In the case of genital warts, you should talk to your doctor.
Disadvantages Of This Remedy:
i) Pain and burning sensation after application of apple cider vinegar.
ii) Long duration is required for treatment.
iii) As it does not eliminate the HPV virus from the skin, thus warts may reappear.
