Exercising every day is an essential part of human’s life. Without exercise, you cannot stay fit and healthy. And by healthy, I do not mean overweight.
Our body consists of various muscles which are not used daily. To keep them toned and strong exercise is needed. This is because when you exercise you use and stretch all the muscles of your body.
There are several debates relating to exercise and fitness like time of exercise and the type of food you should eat after exercising or whether you should eat or not before exercising.
Exercise can be done according to your convenience any time of the day but it is said that exercising in the morning is more beneficial than at any other time. So now that question arises is that should we eat or not before exercising and will fasting cause more fat to burn?
The answer is no. You should not eat before performing any kind of exercises in the morning. But I am not suggesting a total fasting.
Eating before exercise will only fasten the metabolism of the food particles that are present in your stomach and the scarcity of nutrients will help them to get absorbed faster thus depleting the main motive of exercising.
However, if you exercise on an empty stomach, the stored fat in your body get utilized to provide you with energy, which ultimately results in a toned physique.

Benefits Of Not Eating Before Exercising
1.Improved Insulin Activity
When we eat food and it is broken down, it is the responsibility of insulin to send the glucose into our liver to be stored as fat reserves in our body which ultimately results in fat deposition. When we eat too much we become insulin resistance.
This resistance might cause a lot of damage internally. Hence, fasting is necessary to invert this effect. This is why fasting before exercising will not only increase insulin sensitivity but also use the stored fat of our body.
2.Growth Hormone
Fasting before exercise will help secrete excess of growth hormone which will provide with the better burning of fat and promote the growth of new cells.
3.Effective Fat Loss
As I have mentioned before, with no food to spare you with energy your body is forced to use up the stored fat to provide you with energy. Hence fasting before exercising can promote much faster weight loss.
4.Removal Of Toxins
Another good reason to fast before exercising is because you will sweat a lot and the sweat will remove all the waste products inside your skin which is also slowing down the fat burning process. Hence, faster results of losing weight will be seen.
You may be thinking that how is it possible to exercise without anything at all in your stomach. But that is the right way my friend because that way your body becomes more efficient in the real motive of keeping you fit.
Without food, exercise can focus on the things that it has to lose and not the imaginary things.
If you are too reluctant to eat something then you can drink water, or eat an apple. You can also sip in black tea or coffee without sugar and milk, as caffeine will also give your body a metabolism boost. But remember to not consume too much.
Do not take any type of energy drink as that will fill your blood with sugar which is not healthy.
Many people worry about the fact they might face some muscle loss, but it is not true because if you fast before exercising you would gain muscle weight because of extensive toning and usage of them.
In fact, the best way to tone your muscle is to do squats on an empty stomach.
So, in the end, I have to say do not eat anything before going to exercise. If you have that much eagerness in getting up from your bed to run a mile then keep that eagerness alive and don’t destroy it by eating.
Try to burst all the myth bubbles you hear around you. You have ample amount of energy to run 5 km. So burn all the fat and be fit and strong!
