Dr.M.Gopi Krishna is a renowned professor in the dept. of Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana at Sri Jagadguru Gavisiddheshwara Ayurvedic Medical
College and Post Graduate Research Center, Koppal, Karnataka, India.
He got his B.A.M.S from S.D.M College of Ayurveda, Udupi(Mangalore university) and M.D in Rasa shastra from Rajiv Gandhi University in the year 2004.
Other notable degrees which he got are C.C.N from V.L.C.C (New Delhi) in the year 2007, C.C.H and C.G.O from Institute of health science, Mumbai in the year 2010. Presently he is pursuing Geology under Andrew Alden and chemistry under Anne Marie Helmenstine in New York.
Dr. Krishna is quite proficient in 6 languages namely Hindi, English, Telugu, Kannada, Tulu and Sanskrit. He is also an excellent Ayurvedic vaidya with specialization in Rasa shastra.
He was associated with various projects and experiences in S.D.M.Pharmacy for three years during Post graduation.
Being experienced in all types of Ayurvedic preparations like pottalis kalpas,kupi pakwa,parpati,khalviya,asava aristas,ghritas,tailas, vatis, lepas,etc.also in modern pharmaceutics and metallurgy with practical approach, he is a very valuable member of the family of Mavcure.
He has also guided many post graduate students in the line of research in the field of mineralogical characterization and their health benefits.
Dr. Krishna has the rare skill of collecting and analyzing very rare ayurvedic texts with the help of his huge library. He is also quite experienced in Rasa shastra parayanas with critical analysis of various texts. He has also translated Rasa Ratnakara from Tala patras of telugu version to Sanskrit and chikitsa padhati from telugu taalapatras to Sanskrit.
Very interestingly, he has personally made around 250 Ayurvedic preparations and self-dispense in his own clinic for his patients. Being very interested in research and experimentation, he conducted analysis techniques of Ayurvedic preparations in modern pharmaceutics at College of Pharmaceutics Science – KMC-Mahe-Manipal and of Metallurgical analysis techniques at National Institute of Technology, Surathkal.
In the level of post-graduation, his thesis was “Preparation of Somanathi Tamra Bhasma and its clinical study in parinama shoola” through literary survey of tamra(copper).
He also presented various papers in his college level of his some of the notable ones are Standardization- A boon or a curse, Introspective analysis of Metallic bhasmas and concept of Samskaras in Ayurveda.
Apart from that, Dr. Krishna identifies himself as a hardworking and dedicated individual, a quick learner and a very good leader. He is also a fortunate student of the famous Prof. Siddhi Nandan Mishra who is an author of more than 27 texts in Ayurveda which includes Rasa Shastra.
His multidimensional views about various ayurvedic approaches and theories along with his extraordinary skills will surely add value to MavCure.
