The scientific name of Shankhpushpi is Convolvulus pluricaulis, belonging to the plant family Convolvulaceae. It is considered as a type of morning glory.
The leaves are ½ to 1 ½ inch long, located at alternate positions with branches. They are broad at the base and taper towards the tip.
