Liver maintains the free flow of Qi(energy) circulation in the body. The liver, spleen and the kidney channels run through the pelvis and problem (like blocking) in any one of these channels affect the menstruation. If this problem is untreated, it may lead to female infertility.
Qi (energy) is required for the movement of blood. The Liver is the organ which is associated with the proper circulation of Qi. As seen earlier, the liver problem can lead to the menstrual disorder. The Conclusion is there should be proper circulation of Qi.
Causes And Preventive Measures
The main reason for sluggish Qi (energy) is stress; this may also lead to female infertility. Sluggish Qi causes pain, urinary problems, lower abdominal pain, sciatica, premenstrual nipple sensitivity, irritability, depression, and headache.
Trauma or shock may cause blood stasis (blood flow becomes sluggish or static), like Intra- abdominal surgery, IUDs, abortions, birth control pills or intercourse during menstruation.
Blood stasis symptoms are sharp, piercing type of pain, clots in the menstruate, the relief in the pain after the release of clots in the menstruate, prominent blue, varicose veins on the lower abdomen and legs. Many women face the same kind of situation or combination of both sluggish Qi and Blood stasis.
Many people usually suffer from the extremes of emotions, like fear, anger, love, etc. When there is proper flow of Qi, there won’t be extremes of emotions.
Women are supposed to take some precautions just before or during the menstrual cycle. They should avoid negative thoughts or frustrations.
They should avoid having the cold and raw food. Nutrients from cooked food can be easily extracted.
They should avoid having sex during the menstrual cycle period. They should calm down themselves and should not take too much of the stress.
Mainly they should be relaxed. Women need at least about 20-30 minute physical exercise daily.
Physical exercise increases the blood circulation, body temperature, aids digestion, appetite, mood, energy and sleep.
Taking the sufficient amount of liquids is fine, but too much of liquids and having cold liquids with meals aids for the sluggish Qi. People with sluggish Qi tend to eat more of sweet food.
Alcohol consumption is also a reason for sluggish Qi. Timely food, sleep, healthy food habits (calorie intake should be neither over nor less. Good food of perfect nutrient value) and physical exercise reduce 90% of the problems.
One of the traditional functions of Ligusticum Wallichii includes Qi activation.
