4. Sea Salt
A completely simple natural alternative to toothpaste is to dip your toothbrush into a fine grain sea salt and let it do the work of cleaning your teeth.
You will find sea salt to be a bit abrasive, so consider dissolving a half teaspoon or so in some warm water and use it. This will help in making it a bit more palatable.
5. Baking Soda Or Hydrogen Peroxide
Use a small amount of either of the compounds or both to clean and whiten your teeth. Please ensure that you don’t use baking soda for an extended period as it can have an abrasive effect on your teeth.
In addition to that, there’s always some danger in using hydrogen peroxide with dental amalgam fillings. But if you use them a few times when you’re out of regular paste it’s perfectly safe.
6. Chewing On Neem Sticks
Neem twigs are commonly used to keep your teeth clean and breathe fresh. To use them, chew the bark off the end of one of the sticks and separate the fibrous “bristles” by chewing on the pulp. Clean your teeth using the resulting bristles.

Harmful Side Effects of Toothpaste
Below are some of the harmful toxins which are the main ingredients of all most all the toothpaste available in the market.
1.Fluoride
While fluoride is supposedly the ingredient that prevents cavities, on the other hand, it can be very toxic to the body. In fact, fluoride toothpaste might be the reason for acne outbreaks around the mouth and chin.
2.Titanium Dioxide
The nano-sized particles of titanium dioxide can cause toxic damage to the cells of our body when absorbed through the mouth.
3.Glycerine
This is found in almost every toothpaste on the market (even the natural ones). Glycerine helps in giving the toothpaste a smooth texture as well as keeps it from drying out. The disadvantage is that it prevents your teeth from re-mineralizing.
4.Sodium Lauryl Sulphate
Sodium lauryl sulphate gives the foamy cleaning action of toothpaste, but it’s also a strong chemical surfactant that doesn’t belong to our body.
What do you think? Do you need the conventional toothpaste or you can use your toothpaste, or is it too much? Tell me about it below and feel free to share your thoughts with us.
